Qualifications & Experience
1. Chief Medical Officer Pay scale: PB-3 Rs. 15600-39100 Grade Pay 7600 MD/MS in an appropriate branch of Medicine plus at least 11 years experience in a recognized hospital of which at least 05 years must be at the level of Sr.Medical Officer.
2. Medical Officer (Regular) Pay Scale- Rs. 15600-39100 Grade pay 5400 Minimum Qualification/Experience Essential Qualifications: MD/MS from a University, recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) in the appropriate branch of a medicine. OR PG Diploma from a University, recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI), in the appropriate branch of medicine + at least 2 years of experience in a recognized Hospital. Note: Candidates having Post Graduate degrees will be preferred over those having Post Graduate Diplomas.
3. Medical Officer (On Contract) The contract will be initially for three years extendable by another two years. (Consolidated monthly emoluments varying between Rs. 40000-75000). Specializations: (i) Medicine (Physician) (ii) Gynaecologist (iii)Surgeon (General Surgery) (iv) Pediatrician Essential Qualifications: MD/MS from a University, recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) in the appropriate branch of a medicine. OR PG Diploma from a University, recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI), in the appropriate branch of medicine + at least 2 years of experience in a recognized Hospital. Note: Candidates having Post Graduate degrees will be preferred over those having Post Graduate Diplomas.
4. Technical Officer Pay Scale Rs. 15600-39100 (PB-3) with grade pay of Rs. 5400/- Minimum Qualification/Experience Essential : M.Tech. in relevant area with good IInd class or equivalent. Or Master of Computer applications with good (IInd class) or equivalent. Or B.Tech. in the relevant branch of Engineering with good IInd class or its equivalent with 2 years relevant experience. Or M.Sc. in relevant branch with good IInd class with 2 years relevant experience. Desirable: In addition to the above experience: 2 years experience of operation and maintenance of sophisticated/Computer based instruments in an educational Institute of repute or R&D organization. Or 2 years experience of operation and maintenance of computers, peripherals and data administration. Or 2 years experience of operation and maintenance of Computer Networks in an educational Institute of repute or R&D organization.
5. Assistant Executive Engineering (Civil) (Regular) PB-3 Rs. 15600-39100 with GP of Rs. 5400 Minimum Qualification/Experience: Bachelor degree in Civil engineering or equivalent preferably first class with 03 years relevant experience.
6. Assistant Executive Engineer (on contract) Consolidated Emoluments Rs. 30000 to Rs. 35000 Minimum Qualification/Experience: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering/Technology or equivalent preferably first class+3 years relevant experience.
7. Assistant Librarian PB-3 Rs. 15600-39100 Grade Pay 6000 Minimum Qualification/Experience: Master’s degree in Library Science/Information Science/ Documentation or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade plus a consistently good academic record and at least 05 years of relevant experience. Desirable: (a) Specialized course in Computer Applications & Networking. (b) Experience of working in Computerized Libraries.
8. Assistant Superintendent Workshop Pay Scale Rs. 15600-39100 (PB-3) with grade pay of Rs. 6600/- Minimum Qualification/Experience B.E./B.Tech. 1st class Mechanical/Production/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent plus 2 years experience.
9. Superintendent Workshop Pay Scale Rs. 15600-39100 (PB-3) with grade pay of Rs. 7600/- Minimum Qualification/Experience Ph.D. in the area of Mechanical/Production/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent with First Class in the preceding degree with 5 years Industrial/Research/Teaching experience in the scale of Rs. 10,000-325-15200 (Unrevised) or higher scale. OR M.Tech. with First class in Mechanical/Production/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent with 7 years Industrial /Research/Teaching experience in the scale of Rs. 10,000-325-15,200 (Unrevised) or higher scale.
10. Principal Scientific Officer (on Contract) PB-4 Rs. 37400-67000 Grade pay Rs. 8900.00 Minimum Qualification/Experience: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of 8 years experience of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor, Senior Scientific Officer/Senior Design Engineer.
11. Senior Scientific Officer (on contract) Pay Scale Rs. 15600-39100 (PB-3) with grade pay of Rs. 7600.00 Minimum Qualification/Experience: Ph.D. with 1st class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and at least three years industrial/research/teaching experience.
12. Scientific Officer Grade-I (on contract) Pay Scale – Rs. 15600-39100 (PB-3) with grade pay of Rs. 5400.00 Minimum Qualification/Experience: Ph.D. or M. Tech. and 3 years experience.
13. Scientific Officer Grade-II (on contract) Pay Scale – Rs. 15600-39100 (PB-3) with grade pay of Rs. 5400.00 Minimum Qualification/Experience: M.E./M.Tech. in the appropriate branch in Engineering with a 1st class or its equivalent grade. OR B.E./B.Tech. in the appropriate branch in Engineering with a 1st class or its equivalent grade + 2 years relevant experience OR M.Sc. in the appropriate branch with a 1st class or its equivalent grade + 2 years relevant experience. Note: Exceptionally deserving candidates possessing the above mentioned qualifications may be given one percent relaxation in marks for each additional year of experience in excess of the required experience, subject to a maximum of five percent.
14. (i) Executive Engineer (Civil) Pay Scale – Rs. 15600-39100 (PB-3) with grade pay of Rs. 6600 Minimum Qualification/Experience: Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent with 8 years relevant experience in the pay scale of PB-3 grade pay Rs. 5400 or Master degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent with 6 years relevant experience. Preferably 1st Division in B.Tech. & M.Tech. (ii) Executive Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical) Pay Scale – Rs. 15600-39100 (PB-3) with grade pay of Rs. 6600 Minimum Qualification/Experience: Bachelor degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 8 years relevant experience in the pay scale of PB-3 grade pay Rs. 5400 or Master degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 6 years relevant experience. Preferably 1st Division in B.Tech. & M.Tech.

The application fee of Rs.100/- will be applicable for the post at serial nos. 01 to 06 & 14. No application fee is required from IIT Roorkee employees, SC/ST candidates and Persons with disabilities and for the post at serial no. 07, 08 09, 10,11,12,13. Duly filled application form should be sealed in A-4 size envelope. At the top of the envelope name of the post and Advertisement number and date be mentioned.
